We have been assigned to attend and support the Makiki Ward and we now meet in the Honolulu Tabernacle building located in downtown Honolulu. They are a mixture of many different cultures: Hawaiian, Japanese, Korean, Tongan, Philippinos, and others. They are a very warm and welcoming group of members and we know that we will enjoy being a part of them. We met several missionary companions and feel very much at home among them. Today is a much better day knowing that we avoided the pending Tsunami! Weather is delightful so we are going to drive our car back over to the Church and walk back to our hotel room so that will force us to walk everyday to the Mission Office (about a 2 mile walk round trip).

Beautiful gardens! Wish we could be there with you.
Are you standing by the Tabernacle or by your hotel room?
We are actually at Church. There is a beautiful inter-court garden.
